Welcome to Score Français! These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the scorefrancais.org website and the TCF Canada and TEF Canada exam-preparation courses, practice tests, and related services (together, the “Service”) operated by Score Français (“Score Français”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By creating an account, purchasing a subscription plan, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
2. Description of the Service & Eligibility
Score Français provides online preparation courses and practice materials for the TCF Canada and TEF Canada language proficiency exams, covering Reading Comprehension (CE), Listening Comprehension (CO), Written Expression (EE), and Oral Expression (EO). Courses are delivered through our learning management system and are organized into tiered subscription Plans (e.g., Bronze, Silver, Gold), each granting access to a defined set of practice tests and materials for a stated access period.
The Service is intended for users studying for the TCF Canada or TEF Canada exams for personal, non-commercial use. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Score Français is an independent exam-preparation provider and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to France Éducation international, the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration du Québec, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, or any official TCF/TEF exam administering body.
3. Account Registration
To purchase a Plan or access course content, you must create an account and provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at support@scorefrancais.org if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Subscription Plans, Billing & Payment Terms
Our Plans are sold as tiered subscriptions (e.g., Bronze, Silver, Gold) that grant access to course content for a fixed period (such as 15 days, 1 month, or 2 months, as stated on the Plan’s product page). The exact price, access duration, and billing terms for each Plan are displayed at checkout, and those checkout terms govern your purchase.
Payment processing. Payments are processed securely through WooCommerce and Stripe. We do not store your full card number; card details are transmitted directly to and processed by Stripe in accordance with Stripe’s own terms and privacy practices.
Renewal. Some Plans may be structured as a single, one-time purchase that expires automatically at the end of the stated access period with no further charge, while other Plans may be structured as recurring subscriptions that automatically renew and re-bill your payment method at the end of each billing cycle until cancelled. The applicable billing structure (one-time or auto-renewing) for the Plan you select will be clearly disclosed on the checkout page before you complete your purchase — please review it carefully. If your Plan auto-renews, you may cancel future renewals at any time before the next billing date from your account dashboard or by contacting support@scorefrancais.org.
You are responsible for ensuring your payment method remains valid. We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access to the Service if payment is not successfully completed.
5. Refund & Cancellation Policy
We want you to be satisfied with your Plan. Unless otherwise stated at checkout, refund requests are handled under the following default policy: you may request a refund within 7 days of your purchase date, provided you have accessed less than 20% of the content included in your Plan (e.g., fewer than 20% of the available practice tests or lessons). Refund requests outside this window, or after this usage threshold has been exceeded, are considered on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
To request a refund or cancel a subscription, contact us at support@scorefrancais.org with your order number. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe and may take several business days to appear on your statement.
Cancelling a recurring Plan stops future billing but does not automatically entitle you to a refund of the current billing period; your access will typically continue until the end of the period you already paid for.
6. User Conduct & Prohibited Uses
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to: (1) share, resell, sublicense, or provide your account credentials or course access to any third party; (2) copy, reproduce, scrape, download in bulk, or redistribute course content, practice tests, questions, or answer materials outside the Service; (3) use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access or extract content from the Service; (4) attempt to circumvent access restrictions, Plan limits, or security features of the Service; (5) upload or transmit unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or infringing content; or (6) interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service or its servers/networks. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, without refund, at our discretion.
7. Intellectual Property
All course content, including practice tests, questions, answer explanations, audio recordings, written materials, video, graphics, and course structure, is the property of Score Français or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Your Plan purchase grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the course content for your personal exam-preparation purposes during your access period. No ownership rights are transferred to you. The Score Français name, logo, and site design may not be used without our prior written consent.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties; Limitation of Liability; Termination
Disclaimer of Warranties. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no guarantee that use of our practice materials will result in any specific TCF Canada or TEF Canada exam score, and we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Limitation of Liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Score Français and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the Plan giving rise to the claim in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Termination. We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service, without prior notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or abusive behaviour, or for any other reason at our reasonable discretion. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time by contacting us.
9. Governing Law, Changes to These Terms & Contact Us
Governing Law. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Governing jurisdiction to be specified], without regard to its conflict of law principles. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
Changes to These Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
